DOSTHADDA - User Safety Guidelines

At DOSTHADDA, your safety is our top priority. Since our services operate offline, we ask all users (Hire A Friend and Become A Friend) to carefully follow these safety guidelines. These tips are designed to protect you before, during, and after your meeting with another user.

1. Before Meeting

  • Only verified users are listed on DOSTHADDA. Ensure that the Friend you are booking has a verified profile.
  • Review the profile, service category, and fees carefully before booking.
  • Never agree to make direct payments to Friends. All payments must go through Razorpay inside the app.
  • Share your booking details with a trusted family member or friend before the meeting.
  • Carry a fully charged mobile phone. The app also has an emergency button during active bookings.

2. During Meeting

  • Always meet in safe, public places (restaurants, cinemas, gyms, parks, etc.).
  • Never agree to meet in private homes, hotels, or secluded locations.
  • Alcohol consumption is not allowed during meetings. Avoid situations where alcohol is involved.
  • Use your own transportation (drive yourself, book a cab, or use public transport). Never get into a stranger’s vehicle.
  • Keep your belongings (wallets, phones, bags) safe and with you at all times.
  • There is strictly no physical contact allowed. All services are platonic in nature.
  • Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, leave immediately and use the emergency contact.

3. After Meeting

  • Provide honest feedback and ratings after each booking.
  • Report any suspicious, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior immediately through the app or by contacting support.
  • If you experience harassment, threats, or physical harm, immediately dial 100 (Police) and also notify us.

  1. What is DOSTHADDA?
    DOSTHADDA is a mobile app and website where you can Hire a Friend (HAF) or Become a Friend (BAF). You can book a friend for companionship such as movies, dining, fitness, study buddy, hobbies, travel companionship, and more. All services are strictly platonic. DOSTHADDA is NOT a dating app or escort service.
  2. Who can use DOSTHADDA?
    Only individuals who are 18 years and older with valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Driving License) are allowed to use the platform. Minors are strictly prohibited.
  3. How does DOSTHADDA work?
    After creating an account and verifying your profile, you can browse verified Friends nearby, view their profiles and services, and send a booking request. If the Friend accepts, the booking is confirmed and they can contact each other with messaging system within the app. No contact details are shared to any user.
  4. Are all profiles verified?
    Yes. Only verified users (those who have submitted valid ID proof and passed checks) are allowed to be listed and book services.
  5. How much does it cost?
    Friends set their own hourly rates (minimum ₹50 per hour). DOSTHADDA also charges a commission (₹50 or 10% of booking fee, whichever higher). All prices are displayed in the app before booking.
  6. How do I make payments?
    All payments are processed online through Razorpay. No offline or direct payments to Friends are allowed or encouraged.
  7. Can I send messages or make group calls to Friends?
    No. DOSTHADDA only allows communication (through messaging system built-in DosthAdda) after a booking is confirmed. Group messaging and calls are not supported.
  8. What is the difference between Hire A Friend (HAF) and Become A Friend (BAF) accounts?
    HAF (Customer) accounts allow users to hire Friends for companionship services.
    BAF (Service Provider) accounts allow users to offer their time and services as Friends to earn money.
  9. What safety measures are in place?
    All users are ID verified. Services must happen in safe, public locations. Alcohol, overnight stays, and private/home meetings are strictly prohibited. The app also has an emergency button and 24/7 support line.
  10. How do I delete my account?
    Go to Settings > Delete Account. Deleted accounts will not appear in searches. You may reactivate within 90 days using our support system (Chat, email, or call). After 90 days, the account is permanently deleted.
  11. Can my profile be blocked?
    Yes. Accounts violating the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, or safety rules will be permanently blocked without prior notice.
  12. How do I report a problem or misbehavior?
    Use the in-app reporting option or contact us directly at support@dosthadda.com / +91 9381147002. In emergencies, dial 100 (Police). DOSTHADDA will fully support authorities with required information.
  13. Do I need to pay membership fees?
    Yes, DosthAdda allows users to purchase Premium subscriptions available in the mobile app. DOSTHADDA also charges a commission (5% of booking fee + GST) for bookings.
  14. When will I receive payments as a Friend (BAF)?
    Service Providers (BAF) will receive payments through the platform after deductions of commission and charges. No direct offline payments are permitted. The payments (Payouts) to BAF users will be processed within 24 hours.
